Pearable: Raspberry Pi Control. Hearable Research.(圖1)-速報App

This app was written by masters year students at the University of Southampton as part of a group design project. This application requires a Raspberry Pi 3 to run a Python script containing a Bluetooth server. This server has a list of freely programmable commands which are sent to the Pi as buttons. Available on the overview page.

Each programmable button is able to have a separate function or process which runs when it is pressed. This allows for easy prototyping of various functions of the Raspberry Pi, through editing one Python script.

Currently this application is in development. If you want to work on and develop our application/hearable our GitHub can be found here:

This contains all of our code used, this will enable you to set your own Pi up like ours and try out your own ideas.

This initial (prototype) version is being uploaded to aid future work at the University of Southampton to help out other students who may benefit from this app.

Currently this app requires the phone to be paired to the Pi previously, this then allows the user to select it as the device on the overview screen. Multiple Pis can be controlled through this application.

We have programmed this app to act as a research tool for a freely programmable 'Hearable'. This is an in ear computational device which we have developed that allows for audio playback, biometric sensor readings and can act as a hearing aid. These different areas all have different screens and pages within our app. As this app was written for a research tool and as an initial proof of concept there are many features which may not yet function as desired however were added with the belief that future work will benefit from this.
